I have this blog for seven years already, and for five years I have been charming my visitors by clicking on their referral. I don’t think it really is a tip, I just assume every blogger is prepared to think logically. I think every blogger knows and acts like The ultimate sneaky tip to increase visitors and comments. I happen to also do this at times. It is very easy to put links on your blogroll and just to click on them by means of putting your referral on the visited blog’s statistic page.
I don’t really care about hits, visitors or clicks. I care about returning readers. Sometimes I just click on a link to leave my address card behind, why would other bloggers be any different? How can I know how many of the clicks have actually read my page?
On my domain’s statistics page the counters tell me I have up and about 1000 visits per day, and up and about 5000 hits per day. I find it pretty okay. But on my wordpress dashboard I use the wordpress.com statistics plugin, and they tell me I have about 90% less visits than on my domain. Which is correct? I think my domain includes hits by spammers, and weblog.com excludes spam. I don’t know if that’s true, if someone can give me the answer, please do so.

Wow this figures are just impressive indeed !!
Do you get the analysis by type of traffic, and among others the proportion of bots and other automated indexing engines ?
I don’t know what sort of analysis I get, but of course I do get some kind of analysis. If you want you can check out with my login and password. I suspect there is a ton of spam, but I don’t know how to make sure.
